Dr. Archita Biswas

Archita Biswas, originally from West Bengal, India, earned her B.Tech in Biotechnology Engineering in Bangalore. She further advanced her education with a master’s degree in bioinformatics from Chennai. Her research journey continued in New Delhi, where she served as a Junior Research Fellow and subsequently as a Senior Research Fellow at JNU and the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. In 2018, supported by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship, Archita relocated to Ireland to pursue her PhD at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Her doctoral research was dedicated to the analysis and integration of diverse biological dataset (genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics) to differentiate long-term and short-term survivors within GBM cohorts. Following her PhD, she spent a year as a post-doctoral researcher at RCSI. Archita has a deep-seated passion for uncovering patterns in biological data and we are delighted to welcome her to the Bioprocessing Engineering and Science Team (BSEL) as our resident bioinformatician.
